1) Acceptance

By accessing MadeiraMaps.com, creating an account, or purchasing any product, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2) Digital products

We sell digital maps and related digital content (“Digital Products”). Delivery is electronic via your account and/or access features on our website.

3) Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4) License & permitted use

When you purchase a Digital Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use it for your own personal use.

You may not:

  • Share, resell, sublicense, distribute, or make the Digital Products available to others
  • Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass access controls
  • Use the Digital Products for unlawful purposes

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, or a breach of these Terms.

5) Pricing & payments

Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed through our payment providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card details.

6) Delivery & access

Digital Products are delivered electronically. You are responsible for having a compatible device and internet connection. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

7) Refund policy (0 refunds)

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for Digital Products.

Because these are digital products delivered electronically, access typically starts immediately after purchase.

Nothing in this section limits any rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer law (for example, if access cannot be provided due to a fault on our side, we will work with you to resolve it and provide access).

8) Right of withdrawal (EU digital content rule)

If you are a consumer in the EU, distance purchases usually have a withdrawal (“cooling-off”) right. However, for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, that right can be lost once performance begins, provided the customer gave prior express consent and acknowledgment.

By purchasing our Digital Products and receiving immediate access, you agree that:

  • You request immediate delivery/access to the Digital Product, and
  • You acknowledge that you may lose any applicable right of withdrawal once delivery/performance begins.

9) Content accuracy & safety disclaimer

Maps and locations may change over time (access restrictions, trail conditions, business hours, private property boundaries, weather hazards, etc.). You are responsible for verifying current conditions and acting safely. Digital Products are provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10) Intellectual property

All content on MadeiraMaps.com (including maps, branding, designs, text, and media) is owned by WeAreOne, Lda or its licensors and protected by applicable laws. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeAreOne, Lda will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or Digital Products. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12) Changes

We may update the website, products, and these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect from the effective date shown above.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, unless mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence apply.

14) Alternative Dispute Resolution (Madeira / Portugal)

If you are a consumer and have a dispute, you may use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity.
